Gothic stepped vambrace and elbow
a different view
Gothic elbow and vambrace.

The vambrace is heavily worked and comes from the late Milanese rather than the German tradition. It is available as either a full vambrace as shown or as a half vambrace with just the lower section.

Price: Vambrace (full) $95
Half-vambrace $65

Elbow: with heavily worked fan $50 each
Item #: AGSA

Gothic half gauntlet a different view a different view
Gothic half gauntlet

To match and complement the gothic vambrace, this half gauntlet is heavily worked and is strong and light...as well as being difficult for the eye to focus on when it is moving.

Price: $80
Item #: AGHG

pauldron pauldron pauldron
Item #: A6MP A set of stepped pauldrons with a difference. Extra neck protection, coupled with a large dose of presence, all in one piece of armour.

Price: POA

full gauntlets These are a development of the Mark V gauntlets, built for use with two-handed swords, polearms etc. These also fit behind a shield very nicely, allowing you to wear a small buckler and still wreak havoc with that rattan claymore.
Item #: A6MGPrice: POA

vambrace A light but strong vambrace, it offers protection but without the weight. These can be fitted to attach to either of the elbow cop styles on offer.
Item #: A6PVPrice: POA

leg armour Leg armour, with high-density plastic cuisses covered with leather (your choice of colour). The kness fully articulate, and are remarkably comfortable to wear. These are ridged, and features rivetted cuisses.
Item #: A6LHPrice: $210

leg armour leg armour leg armour
leg armour Leg armour fit for a King... well, ok, a baron. The Baron of Stormhold to be exact. (Stormhold being a group in the SCA) These legs are of similar manufacture to the example above, but with the addition of a sunburst on each fan, as it is the chief charge of his arms.

At Riverforge we can make your armour not only functional, but decorative as well. Feel free to ask about any ideas you might have for embellishments, or let us make suggestions that will help personalise your armour.

Item #: A6LB              A happy Baron
Price: as pictured $220.
Price will vary based on your requirements

heater shield
inside the shield
Not all shields are created equal. At Riverforge, one thing we've learned from our experience on the field is that shields are heavy, unless of course you choose to make them out of something other than wood.

Historical solutions involved wicker or cuirbolli, neither of which stands up to the rigors of constant re-enactment usage. This is where the use of high density plastics come into their own.

Whether your shoulder is too worn out to carry your favourite old wooden shield, or you just feel like having something light to keep those archers at bay, these shields are brilliant to use (the editor has one, and will sing its praises loudly to anyone who'll listen)

By the way, yes, we can make them in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Item #: APS1 Price: start at $80 without shield box

a_armouredarm.jpg This is the new Riverforge arm harness Mark VI, here shown with the plain half gauntlet (for use with basket hilted swords), a full vambrace, round dished elbow cop, and ridged pauldron. (The helm shown is not of Riverforge manufacture.)
